Q-Workshop to Release Battletech Dice
Following the successful release of Shadowrun dice, Q-workshop now has the license to release BattleTech-related dice.
“There’ve been so many great dice released for BattleTech over the years,” said Randall N. Awful Fantasy: The Card Game coming to Kickstarter May 3
Based on the the unique and absurd humor of Justin and Mitchell Lucas and with gameplay designed by Adam and Brady Sadler (Warhammer Quest: The Adventure Card Game), Awful Fantasy: The Card Game is a casual card game for 2 – 6 aspiring awful authors. Each player takes on the role of a ridiculous author equipped with a hand of awful cards, which are used to either draw fantasy cards or thwart your rival authors.
The goal of the game is to collect a series of fantasy cards to complete your own tale of awful fantasy. Each story must contain at least 3 fantasy cards, including a plot, a protagonist, and an antagonist. The combinations of these cards are diverse, and each play provides a new opportunity for you to tell a tale more awful than your last.
The Painting Frog announces new “Rumble in the Jungle” 40K event
For the second time in a row The Painting Frog blog is holding its “Rumble in the Jungle” tournament in the city of Cuiaba in Brazil.
It has just divulged the dates the event will be held on, so if you needed an excuse to go visiting Brazil other than the Olympics, there you go!
VIII Corps: The Somme 1916 Coming April 29th
On Friday 29 April, Vexillia will be releasing Neal Reid’s first WWI card game VII Corps.
This two-player card game covers the experience of the British VIII Corps on the first day of the Battle of the Somme, July 1st, 1916.
The game follows the course of the pre-battle preparation and the first day of the battle itself. One player is commander of VIII Corps, Lt. General Sir Aylmer Hunter-Weston. The other, his opponent, Lt. General Hermann von Stein commander of the German XIV Reserve Corps.
This is not a balanced game, and one where the British will find it very hard to win.
The game will be available for $14.50 in both A4 & US letter versions from Vexillia Limited’s store at Wargame Vault. Follow the news link for more information and sample pages.

We’re very pleased to release our latest 6mm sci fi force, the space demons.
There are four sets now available: Space demon assault warriors (with ribbed heads); Space demon infiltrator warriors (with smooth heads); Space demon king and queen (warriors shown on the same base not included); and Space demon xenowhale (an enormous bio-bropship/gunship/grav mecha).

We’re now counting the hours until the Odyssey Kickstarter ends (Thursday, 21st April 11pm GMT)! It’s been fully funded, and a load of stretch goals have been unlocked, so the Argonauts are literally full of additional components for backers to use. Of course, I don’t want to stop there, and if we can get to the final stretches, then it will be a perfect end to a great campaign!
